How Our Flash Lamps Work

Our industrial flash lamps provide energy to power solid-state lasers, most commonly Nd:YAG systems. The process is simple:

Flash lamp activation – High-voltage electrical discharge creates intense broadband light
Energy absorption – Laser medium atoms absorb flash lamp energy and transition to higher energy states
Photon emission – As atoms return to lower energy states, they release photons of specific wavelengths
Amplification – Photons bounce between reflective surfaces, undergoing stimulated emission amplification
Coherent beam output – Results in a powerful, focused laser beam ideal for industrial processes
